Zane resides in the leafy suburb of The Gap in Meeanjin and is an avid mountain biker and nature enthusiast. He has been interested in wood work for his entire life and started his cabinetmaking apprenticeship (including furniture making and shopfitting) in Townsville in 2000.
Zane had a natural aptitude for design and proved himself an excellent craftsman. After finishing his trade, he moved to Canada and was quickly promoted to head finishing carpenter in the Rocky Mountains, working on high end log homes. He returned back to Australia in 2011 with his fiancée (now wife) Christie to further his career.
Zane worked as a residential carpenter in Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Brisbane before being awarded his second trade in Carpentry through TAFE QLD. He went on to do a Diploma of Project Management and currently holds a non-structural building license with the QBCC.
Zane started Ridgemont Renovations in 2018 and hasn’t looked back. All referrals are now word of mouth as news of Zane’s exceptional work ethic and attention to detail travels throughout Brisbane’s inner north west.
When he isn’t on the tools, you can catch Zane mountain biking around Mt Cootha, playing with his daughters at Wittonga park or planning his next adventure with his wife Christie.
